Hello netizens! My name is John Hetherington. I spent 10 years in headhunting before deciding that the people around the world couldn’t go on much longer without meeting me. With the noble goal of introducing myself to these poor folk, I handed in my resignation, put on a permanent out-of-office and set off on a year-long journey.

I visited a total of 23 countries on my travels, broadening my horizons and filling a good number of blog posts with musings, funny anecdotes and travel pictures.

Now back in my native England, I’m working out what to do with myself while writing about anything that takes my fancy. Expect blogs on anything from Donald Trump to gym memberships, restaurants and beyond: “Lucky dip blogging”, if you like.
